Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions will be hosting the Health Professions Summer Experience, an exciting and immersive weeklong camp designed for advanced high schoolers and college students with an interest in high-demand health care professions. This unique program offers a dynamic blend of hands-on activities, expert-led workshops and engaging sessions tailored to provide campers with a comprehensive understanding of the diverse fields within health care.
Campers will spend their first day with our pharmacy faculty learning about community and clinical pharmacy opportunities, the role of a pharmacist in a healthcare team and end the day in some laboratory exercises. The next day they will spend with our nursing team investigating interdisciplinary insights of nursing, business and ethics in health care. Wednesday will be spent learning about how movement is essential to medicine and good health. Campers will learn all about physical therapy, health and exercise science in our physical therapy lab. The final full day of camp will be at our Interprofessional Health Campus in Thornton, where campers will learn how nursing, counseling, family therapy, play therapy and occupational therapy play an integral role in health care. The week will end on Friday with student presentations and awards.
Whether campers aspire to study pharmacy, nursing, physical therapy, health and exercise science, occupational therapy, counseling and family therapy or the business of health care, this camp will be a gateway to exploring the multifaceted world of health professions. Campers will experience a transformative week of learning, networking and discovering the endless possibilities that await you in the rewarding realm of health care professions.
