The Deans and Faculty of the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions (RHCHP) at Regis University are dedicated to advancing academic research that informs health care best practices and clinical care modalities. Equally, they are dedicated to training students in nursing, physical therapy, pharmacy, behavioral health and health services education to become better researchers by conducting their own original research and presenting their research in an interactive, interprofessional learning environment. Each year, RHCHP hosts a research symposium where students and faculty showcase their finest scholarly and innovative research. Students and faculty also present to national audiences of experts at annual meetings of professional societies. When students are given opportunities to discuss their research, they learn critical thinking skills that improves their ability to clearly articulate key findings.
Research and experiential hands-on learning have shown to better equip students to pursue some of the most competitive career paths with confidence and competence, thus strengthening their professional growth. The Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions aims to raise $12,000 on Regis Gives Day to provide innovative research scholarships, so that our health professions students may further their research, as well as faculty scholarships to advance their academic leadership and research.
