Taking PBLA Outdoors

PBLA will be part of Regis University Gives Day (RGD) on April 12, 2023. RGD is a one-day, university-wide fundraising event that promotes a number of essential programs at Regis. We believe outdoor education positively impacts the educational, physical, and emotional development of our youth. In order to take our outdoor education program to the outdoors, we hope you’ll consider supporting PBLA with a gift for our Summer 2023 Academy. $7,500 will provide outdoor education opportunities for our middle and high school students. In recognizing low-income students do not have the same opportunities to experience all of the great outdoor opportunities Colorado has to offer, your gift will help PBLA provide our middle school students the opportunity to experience hiking, fishing, archery, and horseback riding while learning about African American history in Colorado at Lincoln Hills Cares. Finally, Lucky to Ride offers our middle and high school students a stem-based cycling program and upon completion of the program, our students receive a bike, new helmet, lock, and tool kit. Every gift makes a difference.

$15 allows 1 student the opportunity to participate in horseback riding, archery, fishing, and hiking.

$150 provides 5 students participation in the Lucky to Ride program and a new bike and all the accessories upon program completion

$500 will help pay for sack lunches

$1,000 will help towards bus transportation costs to the outdoor excursion sites
