Through our interactive presentations, students gain the tools to recognize warning signs of unhealthy relationships and take action. As one participant shared, “I will look for subtle signs that things are not quite right and then act in some fashion.” Another student expressed their commitment to being “more attentive to my friends in their relationships.” These statements reflect the power of education in fostering a campus culture of care and intervention.

Victim Advocacy and Violence Prevention (VAVP) presentations don’t just inform students—they immerse them in real-life scenarios that encourage reflection and action. One student noted that the experience helped them “relate certain elements from my life and the lives of those around me to see what could be/is harmful.” This kind of self-awareness and peer support is crucial in preventing relationship violence and fostering a safer campus.
