Catalina Hooser was a shining light at Regis University, who tragically died just a year after her graduation in 2015. A dedicated sociology major with a minor in peace & justice studies, Catalina’s passion for social justice and her unwavering commitment to making a difference continue to inspire all who knew her.
She was more than just a student—Catalina was a leader, a friend and a source of strength for those around her. Her advocacy for justice, her humor and her ability to connect with others made her someone who was deeply respected. With humility, compassion and an open heart, Catalina helped those around her find their own potential, encouraging others to rise to the best version of themselves.
In honor of Catalina’s spirit, the Catalina Hooser Scholarship Fund was established to support students who face unique challenges in their pursuit of higher education. We believe that with just a little extra support, even the most resilient students can overcome setbacks and reach their dreams. As one recipient of the scholarship shared, "Your contribution is much more than just a dollar amount. It’s an investment in our future—helping us move forward in life."
Your donation to this fund isn’t just a financial gift—it’s a lasting investment in the potential of young people who embody Catalina’s values of perseverance, passion and positive change. Join us in carrying forward Catalina’s legacy and empowering the next generation of leaders who will continue the work she so dearly believed in.
