
Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions will be hosting the Health Professions Summer Experience, an exciting and immersive summer camp designed for rising high school and college students with an interest in high-demand healthcare professions. This unique program offers a dynamic blend of hands-on activities, expert-led workshops and engaging sessions tailored to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the diverse fields within healthcare.
Campers will have the chance to engage with current healthcare students and faculty in specialized areas including:
- Pharmacy: Simulated intensive care unit scenarios to understand the critical role of pharmacists.
- Nursing: Life-saving techniques for bleeding and opioid overdose management.
- Physical Therapy & Health and Exercise Science: Healing through exercise and dry needling.
- Occupational Therapy: Improving functional abilities with safety assessments and assistive devices.
- Counseling, Family and Play Therapy: Processing emotions through innovative sand tray and play therapy.
- Business & Ethics of Healthcare: Exploring leadership skills and ethical challenges in health care settings.
Throughout this transformative week, students will gain invaluable insights into the diverse fields of healthcare and begin to envison themselves in rewarding careers that make a difference in people's lives.
