Catalina Hooser Scholarship Fund

Catalina Hooser was a bright light in the Regis University community-a compassionate leader, loyal friend, and a fierce advocate for justice. Though her life ended far too soon, just a year after graduating in 2015, Catalina's spirit continues to inspire everyone who knew her.

Catalina approached the world with humility, curiosity, and an open heart. She believed deeply in listening, in bridging differences, and in creating spaces where every person felt seen and valued. Her humor, her generosity, and her unwavering commitment to social justice made her someone who didn’t just talk about change – she lived it.

The Catalina Hooser Scholarship Fund was created to honor that legacy by supporting students whose paths to higher education come with additional barriers. These are students with Catalina’s same determination and promise – students who are driven to succeed but may lack access to traditional financial aid or resources.

Each year, the fund provides direct scholarship support, typically $500 to $1,500, to help students stay enrolled, overcome financial setbacks, and continue moving toward a degree. For many, this support arrives at exactly the right moment. As one recent recipient shared: “Your contribution is much more than simply a dollar amount—it’s an investment in our future and helps us move forward in life.”
