Gifts to Formation for a Hope-Filled Future: UMin Leadership and Spiritual Development Fund contribute to...

Regis University Ministry (UMin) accompanies students on a journey to seek God in all things and to explore the powerful intersection of faith, spirituality, and justice. Grounded in the Universal Apostolic Preferences of the Society of Jesus – Showing the Way to God, Walking with the Excluded, Journeying with Youth, and Caring for Our Common Home – our mission calls us to form leaders who will carry these values into the world with courage and compassion.
To make this vision a reality, we are launching the Formation for a Hope‑Filled Future Fund, a new initiative that ensures all students, regardless of background or financial capacity, can participate in transformational spiritual, leadership, and justice focused programs across the country. These opportunities deepen faith, strengthen pastoral and leadership skills, and inspire a lifelong commitment to service and accompaniment, especially within our identity as a Jesuit Catholic Hispanic‑Serving Institution.
Each year, we aim to provide three to four high‑impact formation experiences that broaden students’ horizons and equip them to lead with clarity, empathy, and conviction. When students return from these programs, they bring back fresh perspectives, renewed energy, and best practices that enrich our entire campus community and help animate our shared mission in vibrant and meaningful ways.
Generous support for this fund will open doors for students to attend programs such as the Ignatian Family Teach‑In for Justice in Washington, DC; the Ignatian Immersion Summit, hosted in various locations across the U.S.; the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress; and Dominican University’s El Futuro Conference in Chicago, which prepares leaders to offer culturally responsive ministry in Hispanic‑Serving settings. Additional regional and national formation opportunities will further equip young leaders who are eager to put their faith into action.
To expand access and remove financial barriers for our students, we hope to raise $10,000. This support will allow us to subsidize the travel, lodging, and registration costs associated with these formative experiences – costs that would otherwise fall directly to students. Every contribution makes a tangible difference: $50 covers one student’s entry to the LA Religious Education Congress; $200 provides roundtrip airfare to the El Futuro Conference in Chicago; $600 supports full registration for the Ignatian Immersion Summit; and $1,300 provides meals for all participants at the Ignatian Family Teach‑In for Justice.
Your generosity empowers students to grow as leaders rooted in faith, justice, and hope. Leaders who will carry the Regis mission forward into the communities they will one day serve.
