About 💡

This May, a dedicated team of Regs University students and faculty will travel to Belize to deliver something many families hhaven’t had access to in years: reliable, compassionate health care. Our volunteers will join Global Medical Brigades and local health care partners to set up mobile medical clinics in rural communities where care is often out of reach. These clinics provide free medical consultations, medications, and health education to families who may otherwise go long periods without seeing a doctor – not by choice, but because of geographic isolation, financial hardship, and a shortage of medical providers. For many patients, this weeklong clinic is more than an appointment. It is hope. It is relief. It is a chance to live healthier, safer lives.

While our students will help with patient intake, triage, pharmacy support, and health education, the impact does not end when the brigade concludes. Global Brigades partners with community leaders year‑round to support long-term public health initiatives, clean water projects, and ongoing health education programs. Your support helps build sustainable, long-lasting improvements in community health.

For the students participating, this experience is transformational. Many are pursuing careers in nursing, medicine, public health, and healthcare administration. Serving in Belize gives them firsthand experience in global health while deepening their understanding of health disparities and culturally responsive care. These experiences shape compassionate, service-driven health care professionals who will carry these lessons into their future careers.

However, the desire to serve is often met with a financial barrier. The cost of participating in an international service trip can be significant for students, and each brigade also requires medical supplies, medications, and resources to operate clinics safely and effectively. Your donation helps equip mobile clinics with essential supplies, provide needed medications to patients, and make this life-changing opportunity accessible to more students.

Your generosity delivers immediate impact to families in Belize and empowers students committed to making healthcare more equitable. Every contribution brings us closer to expanding access to care and creating meaningful, lasting change. Together, we can extend compassion beyond borders and help ensure that everyone has access to the health care they deserve.
