RU First Program

RU First, a program within the First Gen Success Center, is a four‑year leadership and support initiative designed to empower students who are the first in their immediate family to attend college. Rooted in community, mentorship, and scholarship, the program helps first-gen students navigate the challenges of higher education while developing the skills and confidence to become campus leaders during their time at Regis.

Through six progressively designed seminars, RU First makes the culture of higher education more transparent and equips students with the tools they need to succeed – mastering how to access academic resources, build meaningful community connections, and navigate the complexities of university life. Frequent peer and faculty mentoring provides a strong network of support, and students are encouraged to bring their own voice and perspective into conversations about higher education.

At its core, RU First affirms first‑generation identity as a source of strength, pride, and leadership. The program fosters a genuine sense of belonging and positions students for long-term success. This academic year, RU First is supporting 56 first‑gen students in achieving their academic and career goals with over $50,000 in scholarships.
