About

Creative thinking is one of the most sought-after skills in today’s world, with 70% of employers identifying it as essential for success. At Regis University, we believe that fostering creativity is key to empowering students to thrive—both personally and professionally.

Among the most powerful tools for creative learning is photography. Through the lens of a camera, students connect technology with history, telling compelling stories that bridge the past and present. Photography encourages them to think critically, and to see the world from new perspectives.

However, despite its incredible potential, access to quality photography equipment is a significant barrier for many students. Even secondhand cameras can be prohibitively expensive, preventing eager learners from enrolling in photography courses and fully exploring this art form.

Regis University is deeply committed to making education accessible for all. By contributing to the Camera Library initiative, you’ll be giving students the opportunity to check out dedicated cameras—tools that foster creativity without the distractions of smartphones. The Fine and Performing Arts Department will manage equipment rentals, ensuring that every student, regardless of their financial situation, has access to the resources they need to succeed. Help us give students the tools to see the world through a new lens.

In our art courses, students don’t just learn techniques—they embark on transformative journeys. Through hands-on projects, they develop technical skills while receiving critical feedback that pushes them to grow. These experiences are not only about cultivating artistic talent; they’re about nurturing the whole person, in line with our mission of Cura Personalis—care for the whole person. It’s an approach that fuels emotional, intellectual and creative development.

Creative thinking isn’t just for art majors—it’s a core skill for all students. Whether they’re painting, playing an instrument or designing a project, engaging with the creative process enriches their lives and strengthens their problem-solving abilities, preparing them to excel in any field.
