Gifts to CAPES: Care for All, Advocacy, Prevention, Education, Support contribute to...

At Victim Advocacy and Violence Prevention (VAVP), we believe every person deserves safety, dignity, and the chance to heal. Through the CAPES Project-Care for All, Advocacy, Prevention, Education, and Support-we work every day to break the cycle of violence and empower survivors. Your gift fuels this mission. Every dollar you give becomes outreach, education, and life-changing support for students who need it most.
A $5 donation sparks awareness and hope by providing markers, notecards, fidgets, and stickers that help us start conversations, engage students, and show survivors they're not alone. These approachable tools help us create moments of connection that let students know the community stands with them.
A $25 gift strengthens our educational reach by funding hands-on materials like drunk goggles for demonstrations about impaired consent, as well as supplies for awareness month displays focused on dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. These interactive and visual experiences stay with students and help shift attitudes toward healthy, respectful relationships.
With a $50 contribution, you promote healing and deepened engagement. Your support provides prize baskets that draw in participants during events like Consent Carnival and WellFest, a full semester of acuwellness supplies for trauma-informed self-care, and educational tools that ensure students leave events with practical insights they can use to stay safe and support others.
A $100 gift drives long-term, systemic change. Your generosity helps fund incentives for campus climate surveys that gather essential data, training for Violence Prevention Educators and volunteers who lead peer initiatives, and partnerships with organizations that bring new resources and expanded education to our community. These investments strengthen the foundation of violence prevention on campus.
Your support matters now more than ever. Interpersonal violence affects students every day—often quietly and without recognition. Your contribution helps us reach survivors with immediate care, educate the community about consent and healthy relationships, and advocate for policies that create a safer, more supportive campus environment.
Whether you give $5 or $100, every dollar becomes prevention, healing, and hope. Your generosity is more than a donation—itβs a declaration that survivors matter, that safety matters, and that community matters. We invite you to make a gift, share our mission, and stand with survivors. Together, we can build a future free from violence—one where every student feels safe, supported, and empowered.
Thank you for your compassion and commitment to change.
